Might as well start the voting season off.
1st Item Up - HOST SITE.
As you all remember - we were here last year voting on weather or not we should switch to MFL or stay on RTSports. Well, we voted to switch to MFL, and we did. A year later, there have been many complaints about the MFL site, so I pose the question again: Would you rather stay on MFL or go back to RTSports?
Vote early, vote often - - but you can only vote once.

I agree with everything GT said, except for RT sucking. It's the best site for most leagues, IMO....But not this one. I vote MFL. EDIT: Those award links Jeff posted are really interesting. I've just got to get myself into Fantasy Fly Fishing!

I voted to stay with MFL...Up until joining TBL2 all my other leagues have been run on RTSports and I do like it, for those leagues. I have actually enjoyed the details and nuances that MFL provides and have found it great for this league IMHO.

That is what I think needs to happen if we are going to stay on MFL. Not sure if you would be willing to tweak it for us, if we stay here GT (maybe for some blbs?) But that ay e would know what we are voting on?

Maybe GameTime can show me how to run this league on MFL a little better - because quite frankly, it's a pain in the ass.
I've been a commish of other leagues, run on RTSports, and have had no problems with them. This site though, there are so many options that one little tweak makes the whole thing look out of whack.
I dunno... only 7 people voted so far, but I feel very strongly about going back to RTSports, especially if I'm going to continue to run this league. It's like asking me to fly an airplane when I'm used to driving a car.

I hate MFL, too much is not a good thing. Anyone who has enough time to figure that site out and to know where each thing is has entirely too much time on their hand. Rtsports is much easier to navigate, its simple yet has everything we need without overkill, and the live scoring is much more up to the minute. MFL is way to slow.
Also, if our commissioner feels it is taking up to much time of his time and is too complicated, then I say for the sanity of our commissioner, we go to RTSports. Its nice you are giving us all the option to vote but sometimes you need to throw the commissioner weight around and just do it. Keep in mind, this is the only league i have ever been in that the owners only care about themselves and not the best interest in the league and you care too much about the best interest.
your the HNIC!!!

Well, since the commissioner's weight has dropped by 15 lbs, there isn't as much to throw around anymore!!
This is the only item that is up for vote... all of the other proposals are being decided on, and I will be announcing them shortly. Stay Tuned.

I voted to go to RTS...I was on a couple leagues in MFl last year and did not like it...There is such a thing as having too much. I'm sure MFL has a lot to offer, but not for me. I like RTS much better. But, I'll go wherever you decide. Not much else I can do, right?

Let me just add this to the mix.....
Jerry (Argonauts / Jousters) has informed me that he would be able to get us our 2009 league on RTSports at no charge.
That means, the $70-$75 that we would have paid for a host site this year can be added to the monetary payouts.
Maybe add a 3rd place payout? Or, add more to the 1st & 2nd place payouts?

I actually got this authorized quite some time ago. Keep the following in mind. I may not be able to do this each year, but will give it a shot each year. In addition, if the league stays at MFL, let's be mature about it and try to understand MFL a little better. GameTime (Jeff), it may be useful if the league stays there for you and I to get together and put a guide together to help everyone (including myself) understand that site better.
I want to make it clear that I am here for the long haul after giving this some thorough thought. So I am open to either site. Jeff, maybe you and I can make some time for one another after free agency and regardless of which site we use, put something together to support either site for the future and for other leagues.
I understand RTSports a great deal since I sometimes have a hand in a lot of detail stuff from time to time. Another thing I will do is create a string at this forum and my other two dynasty league forums where we have our wish list here and I can use it internally to keep everyone abreast of what is/has transpired to head in the direction of RTSports/MFL.
It will also help everyone and as 3 to 5 leagues collaborating in unison without the tedious prejudice or arguments that occasionally end up at the RTSports forum, I can submit the information from my meets with the owner and my future meets with the guys from MFL. I want to be able to streamline MFL with new people the way I do at RTSports.
It is important that we keep everything in mind as a whole and not bicker. A unified group(s) will be listened to before a bunch of individuals harping about what they feel is wrong.
Jeff, I also need to get with you about RTSports transparencies in the area of allowing more web-enfluenced people to have that piece available to them. I am optimistic that TBL2 will keep everyone intact and will continue to be a front runner regardless of location of the league. I hope everyone understand what I am trying to put together and even though some may say this is a simple process, I want to make it clear that it is truly not that simple. It is a give/take world and sometimes we need to understand and digest that. I am proud to be part of the five dynasty leagues I am in. I truly love the DXL (RTSports), RZB (RTSports), TBL (RTSports), TBL2 (MFL) and DMZ (MFL). They are sensational leagues to be part of. So I will try my hardest to do the best that I can dealing with the company owners to instill a since of care with both sites. They will get equal knowledge of where we as all five leagues would like to go and from a political standpoint, I think we can be front runners at both sites, regardless of who we are with.
The one thing that we have I feel that MOST other leagues don't have is that we have the "Bill Gates Syndrome". For you who do not understand that, it is simple. The reason why mostly everyone buys Microsoft products is that he knows where we want to go, even though we do not know. It is the exact same principle in fantasy football. If you look at the RTSports Forum, you will notice the views most of us get. You know why? Because most other people NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT. So are niche is that we are all CUTTING EDGE. The one thing that we need to keep in mind is that we are also cutting edge with graphics too and must try to give Jeff and others like him the same respect as it goes hand-in-hand at times.
So as you read this very long post, keep these things in mind and understand, don't begrudge either site. Let's make this work for US. Let's help both sites come to the middle and help US on both sides. RTSports need to give us more flexibility and MFL need to allow us to control the flexibility visually. Not a bad spot to be in. I think I can get these messages across (whether they want to do this or not) - but more importantly, let you know what was discussed about it and what the end result was. I will ponder things out this weekend and create a string at each forum (not RTSports) and post at all three forums exact information as more brains on this equal a win-win situation.
I wish I would have thought to do this before and not just with RTSports. Let me know your thoughts on this via email for now. If you feel that it is best that you post, go for it, but I think this post alone answers what every one of us have been saying to one another; except that we have not been listening to one another to try to put this into action. That is normal as we tend to discard our dislikes for our likes instead of collectively giving and taking.

Terrific idea, Jerry. It's an honor to have you on our side. As far as returning to RT, I'm cool. I commish two leagues there and wouldn't even think of moving them. My feelings between RT and MFL are something like this: Two actresses I literally drool over are Halle Berry and Sharon Stone. If I have to sleep with Sharon, so be it. ;D

This poll is now closed. The vote is 9-5, in favor of moving to RTSports.
With help from Jerry, I have already set-up the league on RTSports and will be sending you all an invite to 'claim' your teams shortly.
Thank you to all who voted.
