After a few weeks of tweaking the IDP scoring, I have finally come to what I believe is a fair scoring system for the Individual Defensive Player positions: Fumble Recovery = 4 points each Forced Fumble = 4 points each Interception = 4 points each Def TDs = 5 points each QB Sack = 2 point for every 1/2 sack (4 for a solo sack) Tackles = 3 points for every 2 Tackles Assists = 1 point for every 2 Assists I have loaded this, and all of the other scoring options into our TBL 2 MFL site at: www27.myfantasyleague.com/2008/home/66056. So, if you want to view how these points will translate to the IDP position, and how they fit in with the other positions, click on Reports -> Player -> Top Performer/Player Stats. I believe that this scoring structure will allow the IDP's to have an equitable value in our league. Thank you.

Nice work Buddah. You did a good job of balancing the IPD scoring to keep them inline with the offensive guys.

Wow, Patrick Willis = LT

Get your bidding dollars ready, the auction should be interesting. Obviously Willis is no where near LT in scoring, but if he repeats last years numbers he will be top dog from an IDP stand point.

Well done Buddah. I think you've structured a nice scoring balance. I even like the potential whining material...like when GT's LB has an odd-number of tackles and he loses to me by 1 or 2 points.

Can we vote on GM of the year now. It's clearly Rob or Buddah.

AP will outscore you by himself! I don't whine... if you beat me .. I'll give you props.... IF I beat you, I'll let you know about it.... I'm a staright shooter... I dish it out, I take it.... -With the low number of starters at each position, there will be plenty of players available...

Buddah should not be eligible for GM of the year as his impact as commissioner would be unfairly judged.
as for the scoring, i like it.

If I can turn Odieman's debacle of a roster around into a competitive team, I should enter the debate...otherwise I believe Barrister maybe the early favorite as he has the target on his back.

I think I will create a new category... COMMISH OF THE YEAR.

It's a shame Odie let his team slide. Still, I see good things ahead for the 'Lichers under it's new management.
Other quick predictions: 1. In a squeaker, Buddah edges out Shodan in the voting for Commissioner of The Year. His popularity wanes after kicking two GMs out of the league halfway through the season for offering stupid trades, and unilaterally deciding to reinstate HCs for 2009 saying: "It was a bad decision that my wife and GT intimidated me into." 2. Loqutis' Hive wins Blitz Bowl II in a cakewalk, as Peyton Manning, Brian Westbrook, and his Fab Four WRs set a new scoring record that stands for three decades. 3. Rob selected GM of The Year, despite a 3-14 regular season record, after amassing over 1,000 blbs and 14 Drafts Picks (Nine #1's) for the 2009 season. At the special HC auction in August '09, The Ho's pay 263 blbs for Belicheat and sign him to a 12-year contract.
Oh, yeah...the thread. I like the IDP set-up, too. ;D
