Not a huge deal to me, but as I read up on the rules I notice that total points is always behind record and head to head record in tiebreakers.... Personally, I think totoal points should always be the number one tiebreaker. It is much more telling of a team... Wins/losses involves a lot of luck.. I could lose to the Ho's one week because of one of his players go off for some rediculous amount of points... Over the course of the season my team was much better than him, but because of a bad break here or there, he could get into the postseason and I wouldn't.... By seasons end total points reflects a team and how good they were consistently... Record does not IMO.... You can have a good record and not be the best of teams... you CAN'T put up total points without being good each week....
Just some more random thoughts as I learn more of the league...

another thing...
The open period for roster transactions will begin every Thursday at 9:00 am EST and conclude on Sunday at 12:00 pm EST
I think this should be pushed back until kickoff of first game.... those damn GTD can really screw with people...

one more question... hope you don't mind if I keep them all in the same thread...
14.44 5 blbs will be awarded to GMs for every player on their roster voted to the TBL 2 Pro Bowl.
Who votes for this? Are there rules for voting? What keeps people from voting for their own players so they get more blbs?

fumbles lost ? -2 for all fumbles or just if fumble results in loss of possession?

I think Overall Records is obviously first, and then the debate begins. Arguments can be made for H2H or Total Points first and I could go either way on this. Total Points does reflect on the quality of your team but I think this also needs to be looked at trying to create a fantasy GM experience. More clearly said, I would think we are trying to mirror the NFL. There, the regular season matters and especially how you did against an opponent when it comes to the end of the season and tiebreakers. Yes, NFL teams don't have to worry about winning on their bye weeks and that can impact your success on a given week, but the regular season shouldn't become meaningless IMO.

I agree wholeheartedly...that last hour can be crucial. Does this mean all roster moves, including lineup, or add/drops? If you had a RB and his backup and it was a GTD but they were playing on Sunday night, wouldn't you want to wait until closer to their kickoff? That shouldn't be a hard change.

i just think fantasy playoffs should have the best teams in it... The way to judge that is points... I'm a math guy, numbers don't lie.... If I score 1400 points and you score 1200 points i probably had a better team... If I score 1400 points and play in a tough division and play the two best teams in the other conference and go 5-7, but you score 1200 points play in an easy division and get the two worst teams in the other conference and go 7-5 are you better team than me? Or if I lose one game because AP breaks the rushing record(which happens once every .....) that should cost me a chance at the postseason...
Just my whatifs...

Win/loss has a lot of luck involved... Can't get lucky and be a top dog in total Points

I believe that the tie-breaker will be up for vote, as I believe that there are alot of GMs on board with the Total Points being the 1st tie-breaker for two teams tied with the same overall records. It sounds like you're referring to qualifying for the playoffs being based on total points instead of league record, is that right?
In week 13, the Commish will post the Pro Bowl ballots for the top players in the league. All GMs of TBL2 will vote for a Pro Bowl player at each position. GMs cannot vote for their own players. That should be listed in the rules, if not, I'll ensure it's updated.
I believe this is only for Fumble's lost. There shouldn't be a deduction for Fumbles, not lost (recovered by same team). I will double-check that, but I'm pretty sure.
Hope this was helpful.

Questions are always welcomed!
I'd hate to crush you all season long only for you to come back saying, "I didn't understand!"
I mean, look at my squad... we didn't just get those 4 wins HANDED to us... we EARNED THEM! ;D

well, head to head should always be the first tie breaker. if i beat you twice , regardless of how many points i scored in my other games...my team is better than yours and i should make the playoffs. just like the NFL, its head to head first.

I agree with the GURU on this one

I disagree. For example, the NFL doesn't want teams running up scores, they don't play during bye weeks but we have to, and we play our best players the entire game, every game. But this really isn't a "biggie" for me either way -- just my preference of the two. I fully intend to be gentlemanly in discussing and resolving the matter..... I propose pistols at dawn. Me & GT vs. Guru & his Ho.

Make it the Three Amigos vs. Dos Equis as I agree with Guru as well here.
