The following protocol must be followed to sign a player off a team’s Practice Squad:
*A team must post on the TBL Forum their intention to sign a player from another team’s Practice Squad. They must list the salary offer. *The team that has rights to the player has 24 hours to match the offer. Said team must purchase the contract and salary and promote them to the active roster. *Players claimed from another team’s Practice Squad are required to be placed on the active roster of the claiming roster. Practice Squad players may not be claimed and placed on the claiming team’s Practice Squad within the same season. *Team may elect to sign players to contracts. They must announce the terms: (salary and contract years) Team putting in the claim must have the cap on contract years available to do this. *When a player has an offer place on him. It does not become a free agent bidding war. Only the team that has the player on their practice squad has the right to match the offer.

Any chance we could expand this? A one week period just isn't enough. Heck, in TBL I give GMs almost the entire offseason. My reasoning is that things change rapidly and a one week window is not a lot. Plus, the buyout in TBL2 is expensive IMO.
Just a suggestion...

Suggestion: In the future. If we have to keep the god awful double header weeks. I think it's only appropriate to schedule them on weeks where there are no byes. I know this requires some juggling year to year, but that is how we handled it back in the day when we had them in TBL. The thought was always if you have a week that is going to count double. Teams should be able to have their best team on the field.
Personally, I hate double headers and it was my fault they were even included in the league.

3.4. Practice Squad Teams may have five (5) players on their Practice Squad. These are developmental players that are restricted to younger players.
To qualify for the practice squad the following conditions must be met: Practice Squad players are limited to players in their first or second NFL season. Practice Squad players must not have spent any time on the active TBL roster of the team attempting to place them on the PS. Players selected in the TBL entry draft or waiver wire pickups are eligible for the Practice Squad if they meet the conditions listed above.
Notable: *Practice Squad players do not receive a contract until they are called up to the active roster. *Practice Squad players do not count towards to team’s roster limit. *Practice Squad players do not have a salary until they are called up to the active roster. *Practice Squad players cannot be traded unless they are first called up to the active roster. *Practice Squad players are not eligible for Injured Reserve unless their contract is purchased and given a contract. *Once a player is promoted to an active roster they are no longer permitted to return to the Practice Squad. *Practice Squad players contracts default to $1 million when they are called up and they are signed to a default two (2) year contract. *Practice Squad players can be purchased by another team. However, the team that has the players have 24 hours to match the contract offer. *After the season the Practice Squad the players become free agents and are eligible to be signed during the RFA period.
The following protocol must be followed to have players placed on the Practice Squad: *Teams must announce Practice Squad players on the TBL forum under the Practice Squad thread. *The TBL Commissioner will add them to the roster with a salary of $0 and no contract years.
The following protocol must be followed to sign a player off a team’s Practice Squad: *The GM must inform the TBL Commissioner that they are placing a claim on all practice squad players. *A team must post on the TBL Forum their intention to sign a player from another team’s Practice Squad. They must list the salary offer. *The TBL Commissioner will inform the team that has rights to the PS player that another franchise has placed an offer. The team that has rights to the player has 24 hours to match the offer. They must announce the terms: (salary and contract years) Team putting in the claim must have the cap available to do this. *When a player has an offer place on him. It does not become a free agent bidding war. Only the team that has the player on their practice squad has the right to match the offer.

Thank you for the feedback Suh and it looks like I will close this thread under the conclusion of making transition tagged players only available for the 1st week of the RFA period.
Also we are currently voting on the point deduction for extra points.

This is a tough one but I would like to propose a change in the scoring of missed extra points if the NFL were to move the s[pot of the extra points back. It looks like the NFL is experimenting with moving the extra point back to the 20 and who know when they will make that the new rule. I feel like -25 is a little much if that rule is to take effect at any time. I would think -15 is still a decent enough penalty but won't kill a team if the kicker misses what would now be close to a 40 yarder. The thing with it is I would only like to change this rule if the NFL moves the kick back but I have a feeling they could move the kick back during preseason. So if the spot of the extra point stays the same then our rule will stay the same but if it is moved back then our rule should change I think to -15

7.1. The RFA session is TBL3's free agent system where players with expired contracts can move from team to team. Next to the draft, this is arguably the MOST important component for managing and building your team. The annual RFA session begins April 1st and runs through the entire month of April. Any TBL3 player whose contract has expired (reaches 0 years) will be eligible as long as they were on a TBL3 roster at the end of the previous season
The RFA schedule will be announced by the TBL3 Commissioner with the positions being rotated each season. 7.2. Free Agents Defined Players become free agents (RFAs) when their contract status reaches 0 years.
7.2a. When a player's contract ends, he becomes a restricted free agent (RFA), who can be offered a contract by any team in the league with the current team given the right to match or beat the offer. 7.2b. A list of all of the upcoming RFA’s will be posted. ONLY PLAYERS THAT WERE ON A TBL3 FRANCHISE AT THE REGULAR SEASON WILL BE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE BIDS
7.2c. GMs must declare their FRANCHISE and TRANSITION players one week PRIOR to the start of the RFA session (the deadline will be announced by the TBL commissioner)
7.2d. ALL bids for RFA’s must be placed on the TBL Forum board (NOT the RTSports message board) under the thread labeled FREE AGENT BIDS. GMs must list: their team name, the name of the free agent, the amount of the bid, and his current NFL and TBL teams. (EXAMPLE OF RFA BID)
Rebels would like to place a bid on: RB Jamal Lewis (Atoms) - 5 blb Once a post is made it cannot be edited, if you want to bid higher you must place another post on the message board. (IF A POST SHOWS THAT IT WAS EDITED IT WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND THE PLAYER WILL GO TO THE TEAM WITH THE NEXT HIGHEST BID)
7.2e. Free agent bidding will be done in sections based on positions (to be announced by TBL3 Commissioner)
7.2f. If a bid is placed on a player that has the FRANCHISE or TRANSITION tag by another franchise, that player's owner will not be notified that another team has made an offer to your player. Also all tagged players are only available for bid during the first week of the RFA period. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GM TO KEEP TRACK OF THE BIDS ON HIS PLAYERS, NOT THE COMMISSIONER
7.2g. If you wish to keep your player you must place a bid that matches or exceeds the highest bid on the board for your player. You will have ONE (1) day from the time that you are notified if applicable or from the time of a free agent bid to match that offer or you will lose that player to the team that placed the highest bid.
7.2h. The bidding day ends at 10:00 PM EST each day- Bids placed after this time will be counted towards the next day.
7.2i. The bidding process for any given player will end ONE DAY after the deadline when the final bid is posted on the message board at which time the commissioner will declare that players destination on the TBL forum board.
7.2j. If no other team submits a contract offer before the end of the RFA signing period, you may re-acquire that player at no cost.
7.2k. Teams must announce the number of contract years they are signing the player within one week from the end of the RFA session or the players will be placed back in the RFA pool.
7.2l. In the event that a team wins multiple bids on the same position OR their winning bid puts them over the limit at any position the team must immediately notify the TBL3 Commissioner their intentions. GMs will be forced to decide which player(s) they wish to keep. The released player(s) will be offered to the team that had next lowest bid. That GM may either chose to take him and pay the amount he bid or he can decline to accept the offer. In the event that the GM does not wish to keep the player, he will be placed back into the RFA pool to be bid on again. If the RFA period is over the player will return to the draft pool.
7.2m.The team that had won bids on multiple players will NOT receive ANY blb back from the players they won even in the event that they are released.
7.2o. GMs may bid more blbs on players than they possess. In the event they win bid(s) on players and do not have enough blb to cover them you will be notified by the TBL3 Commissioner and given 24 hours to acquire the blbs needed to complete the transaction or the player will be awarded to the next highest bid. The GM may elect to take the player offered of they can decline the player. If they elect to take him they must pay the cost of the bid they had posted on the message board. In the event the GM no longer wants the player he will be sent back to the RFA pool.

1. I really don't like expanding contract years. Competitive balance is better with fewer contract years available. It improves the free agency market and waiver wire market. 2. Reducing buyout makes sense. 3. I like the idea of reducing the Blb payouts for march madness, etc.
