Hey Josh. I don't know where I'd go to update your name to your team name.
You can go to Option, then Personal, and where it says *Your Name - you can change that to Wunderlichers if you want.
If I can figure out how to put everybody's team name instead of their real names, I'll give it a shot, but otherwise, it's cool.

I'm sure you have all been anxiously awaiting the outcome of the proposed rule changes for the upcoming 2009 season. I have deliberated over these proposals, and with the guidance from a few owners in the league, I have come to the following decisions: 1) Host site: MFL vs RTSports Based on the results of the poll, the league will be returning to RTSports. I will be sending out invites to each of you shortly to 'claim' your teams. I still need to update the BLB's and the draft picks, so be patient. 2) Injured Reserve Effective with the 2009 season, GM's will receive a 1 contract year credit for each player placed on I/R, regardless of the number of contract years that player has assigned to him. This will allow GM's to acquire Free-Agents to replace those I/R players. Also, the maximum number of players that can be placed on I/R in a single season is eight (8), however please keep the following existing rules in mind: - Only players who are out for the season can be placed on I/R. - Once a player is tagged on I/R status they cannot be taken off I/R until after completion of the TBL2 Blitz Bowl. - Players on I/R can NOT be traded. 3) Roster Violations Effective with the 2009 season, Roster Violations (see Rule 9.2.1) will be penalized as follows: 1st offense = Warning. 2nd offense = 10 BLB penalty. 3rd offense = 50 BLB penalty. If these offenses occur in consecutive weeks, the Commissioner reserves the right to expel that GM from the league. Starting players on a BYE week will still count as a Roster Violation, but GM's will have the flexibility to start a player on a BYE if they so choose. 4) BLB Awards Effective with the 2009 season, the NCAA March Madness Pool & NFL Draft Pick'em Pool payouts will be as follows: 1st place = 40 BLB's 2nd place = 30 BLB's 3rd place = 20 BLB's 4th place = 10 BLB's. Any Ties will split the combined award. All GM's who participate in these Pool's will receive 5 BLB's.
The monetary payout for the Blitz Bowl will remain the same, however the BLB award will be increased to 50 BLB's for the winner, and 25 BLB's for the runner-up. 5) RFA start date Effective with the 2009 season, RFA will begin as of May 1st. This is to accommodate for the NFL Schedule, NFL Draft, NFL Free-Agency, and will also give all GM's additional opportunities to obtain more BLB's from the NCAA March Madness & NFL Draft Pick'em Pools. 6) Return Yards & Return TD's Effective with the 2009 season, Individual players will be awarded points for Special Teams TD's, but will not receive credit for Return Yards. The Def/ST position will continue to receive points for both TD's as well as Return Yards. 7) Fractional scoring Fractional scoring will not be implemented this season. Regular season games that end in a tie, will remain a tie. 8) Scheduling Effective with the 2009 season, the regular season schedule will be modified to reduce the number of non-conference games from 4 to 3. This will ensure that all teams play teams within their own Conference twice. Each subsequent year, the 3 non-conference games will be with a different opponent than the prior year. 9) Losers-Bowl playoffs Effective with the 2009 season, the 8 teams that do not quality for the playoffs (the bottom 2 teams are excluded), will play in the "Shodan Bowl". 25 BLB's will be awarded to the winner of the "Shodan Bowl", and 10 BLB's to the runner-up. Draft position will NOT be affected by the outcome, as this is purely for entertainment purposes only. 10) Tie-breakers Tie-breakers for 3 or more teams with the same overall record will be: Total points scored, Conference Record and then Total Points scored in head to head competition. Tie-breaker for the Blitz Bowl will be handled as it was for 2008, (if there is a tie at the end of the Blitz Bowl (Week 16), the two teams will submit lineups in Week 17 and play in a Blitz Bowl "Overtime").
Here are some other Reminders for 2009: * 2009 Draft Date is being targeted for Sunday August 23, 2009 at 8:00pm. * The IDP Roster Limit (total of 9 players) will remain in effect during RFA, but will end after RFA. As of the draft, GM's will manage to their 100 year limit. (Kicker's & Def/ST will still remain at 2 per team). * For the 2009 Draft, IDP's can not be drafted until the start of the 5th round. This only applies to the 2009 Draft as a result of the introduction of IDP's into the league. * Any GM who drafts an IDP prior to the 5th round will have that pick reversed, and will not be able to fill that draft pick until after the end of the draft. * League Fees will be due by July 1st. GM's who pay their Fees on-time (or early) will earn 5 BLB's. GM's who's fees are late, will have 5 BLB's deducted for each full week that the payment is late. If payment is not received by August 1st, that GM will be expelled from the league. Thank you, TBL2 Commish.

This poll is now closed. The vote is 9-5, in favor of moving to RTSports.
With help from Jerry, I have already set-up the league on RTSports and will be sending you all an invite to 'claim' your teams shortly.
Thank you to all who voted.

Yes. For the 2009 draft, (and the 2009 draft only), IDP's can only be drafted starting in the 5th round. That was done becuase EVERYBODY was given a 5th and 6th round pick for 2009. Since some GM's had already traded away their 1st thru 4th round picks for 2009, this was the fairest... most fair?.... ok, fairest way to implement/introduce the IDP's in a fair manner for all. In 2010 - you can draft an IDP wherever the heck you want.
The draft "order" is just the order in which your picks WOULD be, if you haven't traded them away. The Future Draft Pick page won't be updated until the new MFL season starts, which I think isn't until March. You know how these sites have to "reset" themselves and get ready for the next year. So, even though Hive has the #1 overall pick in 2009 - he doesn't - because he traded it away. If you're asking for a "true" draft order - meaning - #1 pick = Condors (from Hive) - like that, then I'll try to update that as soon as I can.

Ok, I couldn't find where this question came up before - but, after thinking about it - it doesn't matter which pick you give up if you have more than one.
You MUST have a 1st round or 2nd round pick in order to bid on a tagged player, but it does not matter which one you give up.

I don't see any reason why you can't. There's nothing in the rules about not being able to extend the contract of a player on IR.
The rule states: At only one time during the regular season, each team may lengthen the contract of one player by one contract year at a cost of 20 BLBs times the number of consecutive years the player has been on the franchise with partial years rounded up.

Not trying to be a dick, but... I'm not trying to be a dick either, so I granted him an extension after he contacted me and asked for one. For the record, only about half the league paid me on-time so if I kicked the other half out - we'd have no league. I'd rather someone pay me late than lose an owner. Also, I didn't write these rules, Odie did. I like to think I'm a little more flexible than he was.

By adding picks in the 5th and 6th rounds - and limiting the IDP's to those rounds for the 2009 draft - all GM's are on the same page. Since GM's had already traded away picks from the first 4 rounds of the 2009 draft by the time we agreed to implement IDP's, this was the most feasible solution for ramping up.
Starting with the 2010 draft, you can draft whoever you want, whenever you want.

Well, it's been a week since the poll went up - and we have 15 votes in total on it. The only vote missing is from the Condor's. I have emailed him - so we'll see.
From the looks of it - the vote is 11-4 in favor of making some sort of change. I will re-post a new poll now to vote on which of the two changes to move forward with.
Once we have a majority vote on which one to go ahead with - we'll vote again on the options.
It's an Election Year - get your voting fingers excercised!

Unlike Kyle, I really don’t have a major problem with the current IDP scoring/lineup set-up, although I admit his point is well taken. I agree we should do it the way most people feel comfortable with "the first time". However, if the league sees a need to address the scoring difference between LBs & DL/DBs, then I think we should address the scoring rules, rather than the starting line-up requirements.
IMO, starting only 1 LB will actually increase the importance of that LB. (For example, I'd rather have the top QB or RB in this league than the top 3 or 4 kickers or DSTs) Frankly, I’d be sorely tempted at the auction to bid 90 blbs on the top LB, and then fill out the remainder of my 8 or 9 IDP roster with 1 blb players. (Those 1 blb IDPs are going to be almost Pro Bowl quality guys anyway, given how small our IDP rosters are.) I’ve got a good chance of winning the IDP battle against my opponent every week that way....Then -- of course -- I’d argue against changing any of the IDP rules for 2009, since I built my 2008 IDP roster around the 2008 scoring/starting line-up rules.
I agree that we should do it as right as possible the first time, and that we have a “grace period” until the August IDP auction to do that. I’d suggest amending the LB scoring rules to bring them more into line with DLs/DBs. I’m not sure why LBs score so much more but, for example, if it’s because of their getting more tackles or ass’ts, give LBs fewer points for a tackle or assist than DLs/DBs get. I don’t think each IDP position has to get the same credit in each scoring category, any more than offensive positions have to. Just lower what LBs score in a category or two so that their overall scoring is brought more into line with DLs/DBs.
EDIT: I don't mean to sound like a "RonMexico" here, and I know we've discussed this....but I still fear that an 8/9 man IDP roster is too small to support a 4/5 IDP starting line-up requirement. I think injuries and bye-weeks are going to result in some teams not being able to field a full IDP line-up every week, unless we can use the weekly waiver wire to expand beyond our initial IDP roster limit. That's just my personal feeling.

I did see this on NFL.com - and there is one on FFToday.com as well, but the problem is - these are both "individual" games. I was looking for something that could allow us to set up a Group (like the NCAA pool did) and make private, but there was nothing out there. ESPN's "Draft Forecast" last year was perfect, but it still says, "Coming Soon for 2008" - which it's been saying for the past few weeks. I emailed ESPN.com last week and they said they had no information on if they were going to have that again this year. Very odd, but we'll manage manually. Thanks for looking though.

GMs of both TBL and TBL 2,
We will again incorporate the members of TBL and TBL 2 to compete in the Big Leagues Sports NFL Draft Pick'Em Challenge for 2008! Invites are being sent out to by email.
Each GM that participates will be awarded 10 BLB's in their respective leagues. In addition, the following BLB awards will be given to the top 5 GM's from BOTH leagues, based on the final results:
1st place = 50 BLB's 2nd place = 40 BLB's 3rd place = 30 BLB's 4th place = 20 BLB's 5th place = 10 BLB's (Tie's will split the combined awards, i.e. if there are two (2) teams tied for 3rd place - those two teams will share the 3rd and 4th place payouts, or 25 BLB's each)
This is another great opportunity for GMs from Both leagues to earn BLB's for their franchises and compete against one another in the NFL Draft Pick'Em Challenge. For GMs that are members of both TBL and TBL 2, you can only enter once but will be given the BLB awards in both leagues.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Below are the details for this challenge... read-on ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Rules of play: The objective of this Challenge is to accumulate the most points (see "Scoring" below) over the course of the 1st round of the 2008 NFL Draft. For this game, the first 15 available draft positions from the first round will be used. Points will be awarded based on how accurately you predict the order that players are selected, regardless of the team which chooses the player. Keep in mind that teams often trade their picks with other teams during the draft. It is important to remember that it does not matter which position a specific team is picking, but rather that you successfully predict the actual order that the players are selected.
Scoring: Points are awarded based on the accuracy of the selection. Maximum points are awarded for players correctly selected in the correct order position in which they are drafted. For correct picks in the wrong position, points awarded will get incrementally smaller, based upon how close the Entrant's selected order position is to the actual order position of the Draft. This holds true for all selections within your top fifteen (15), even if the pick falls outside the actual top fifteen (15). For example, if the player in your 14th position is drafted 17th, you would still receive two (2) points. It is important to note that points are awarded based on actual draft position and not by the team that drafts the player.
Points are awarded in the following manner: Correct Pick = 16 pts 1 Pick Off = 8 pts 2 Picks Off = 4 pts 3 Picks Off = 2 pts 4 Picks Off = 1 pts 5+ Picks Off = 0 pts
ALL entries must be time-stamped as sent by 2:30 PM (EST) on Saturday, April 26, 2008, or thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled start of the 2008 NFL Draft, which is currently scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM (EST) on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Any entries recevied after that time will not be accepted.
Watch your email's for more information on how to submit your picks, as this may be a manual effort if ESPN.com does not host this year's NFL Draft Challenge again.
Any questions, please contact me at fballbuddah@yahoo.com.

Speaking of the new Host Site for TBL2 (MFL), I'd like for every GM to start using MFL for making trades, etc, as that will ensure that all players and future picks are accounted for correctly.
The rosters on MFL are all up to date and I will continue to update them throughout the RFA process, so it should be a pretty seamless process.
If you don't remember your password - click on the "forgot password" link and it should email it to you.
Any questions, let me know.

It will be each GM's responsibility to assume the risk if he is bidding on more players than the roster limits allow, should he win all 3 auctions. Assuming the GM does not have any Kickers on his current roster, he is not in violation of the rules by simply bidding on the players, however he will be if he wins them.
Risk vs Reward.
--------
This was basically the answer Buddah gave when I asked about bidding on and possibly wining several players at once. I mentioned being able to pull out of a bid if you only wanted 2 RBs but were unsure you would be able to win any, so you bid on more than 2. If you happen to win them all you better be prepared to pay for them all. Since it's illegal to own three kickers you just porked yourself.
But it's completely within an owners rights to assume he will not win 3 kickers. He shouldn't be forced to "Not" bid on players. No one is going to win every player they bid on
(unless they're Rob)

While I was posting, I noticed that my posts were showing up with a time-stamp one-hour earlier than I posted them.
I went into my profile and where it says, "Are you currently observing Daylight Saving Time", I selected "YES". That seemed to fix my problem, however it went and changed the time for ALL other posts as well.
Just remember, the deadline for making bids is 11:00pm EST each night (any bids made after 11:00pm will count towards the next day). I am typically on-line at that time and will lock down any threads where a player is won once 11:00pm hits to avoid any confusions.
Please be mindful of this DST issue.
